The Stages Of Becoming A Cat Person

I have a friend who's presently being converted, by means of a new kitten, into a complete cat person. It's amusing watching him go through the stages.

The Stages Of Becoming A Cat Person

1. Alright, we can get a cat, but it stays in the laundry or outside.
   
2. Alright, it can come inside, but it cannot enter the bedroom or sit on the couch.
   
3. Alright, it can sit on the couch and go in the bedroom, but not get up on the bed.
   
4. Alright, it can go on the bed, but not sit on the pillows or the sheet we actually sleep on.
   
5. Alright, it can do whatever the hell it likes.

My understanding is that movement through the stages is fairly quick, even with the least cute of kittens. (And my friend's kitten, by the photos, is at the other end of the scale.)
