We've been a little slow at unpacking the boxes in the spare bedroom, but Polly doesn't mind in the slightest. They're like a cat exercise gym, and they give her the highest sleeping spot in the house:

Elsewhere, the thoroughly rattled John Howard and Peter Costello continue their limp attack on Kevin Rudd, hoping that disloyally throwing Ian Campbell overboard will make the "scandal" look more serious, rather than highlight how desperate they are to save their own political skins.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of pet News Ltd columnists like Andy Bolt and Timmeh Blair, and the touching optimism of their commenters ("Kevin Rudd must go!"), the attempt continues to be yawned at by the rest of the country. (Well, except by Campbell, who's understandably a bit dark at having been forced to resign just to buy the empty "scandal" a few more days.)
