Turnbull: uh, no, I really don't want it yet

Malcolm Turnbull has finally realised that having the Liberal leadership now would be a bad idea:
Federal Opposition treasury spokesman Malcolm Turnbull has reiterated that his leader Brendan Nelson should be given a "fair go", amid more bad poll figures for the Coalition.

Today's Newspoll published in The Australian newspaper shows 38 per cent of Coalition voters would prefer Peter Costello and Mr Turnbull to lead the party, over the current leadership team of Dr Nelson and Julie Bishop.

He hasn't been leader very long.
I'll definitely "fairly go" him when the time is right, but not yet.

He's working very hard.
Guys - you've seen "Weekend at Bernies", right*? Sometimes it's important to keep pretending the corpse is alive for a while. Don't worry, we won't forget to bury it later.

Cut him some slack.
Seriously, stop pushing! I neither want to drink from the poisoned chalice, nor let someone else have it instead.

He deserves our support.
Thank God it's him and not me.

*I, Jeremy, haven't.
