Seriously.
Disregarding all the stupidity in his video (the Greens are bad because they "regularly vote against government legislation" - so, what, Fundies First is saying that instead they're going to automatically vote for anything the Liberals want? Because not to do so would for some reason be "anti-family" or "extreme"? So if you wanted that why not just vote for the Liberal Party?), that "good bloke" claim is just nauseating. And it draws me, as an Australian voter, to one inescapable conclusion:
Jeff Buchanan is an up-himself wanker.
Also:
- Fundies First still haven't explained how their multi-billion dollar petrol excise cut isn't simply a gift of taxpayers' money to the petrol companies that would quickly be subsumed at the bowser anyway. Economic pixies.
- How are the Greens "anti-family"? I still haven't seen any Green policies that could in any rational way be described as such.
As previously noted, I voted this week. You have GOT to experience the satisfaction of putting the Fundies last. It's awesome.
UPDATE: Also, why's Mr Family standing in front of cattle? The intended implication seems to be that he's a farmer or something - but if you hunt down the only biographical information available on the Fundies First website, all he says is that "what I bring to politics as I approach 40 years of age is a wealth of real-life experience, having worked as a labourer, scientific researcher, school teacher, fundraising consultant and small business owner." So what have the cattle got to do with it?
(Also - anyone know what kind of "science" Buchanan "researched"? Oh, and "fundraising consultant"? I bet he was!)
