Government humbly taking voter criticisms on board

At least the Liberals are wisely taking recent negative poll results seriously. They hear that many Australians are are worried about certain government policies enacted over the past three years. And, realising that they serve at the pleasure of the voting public, they're making appropriate changes in their policies and behaviour.

Sure, a more arrogant and out of touch party might just call such voters stupid, and try to tough it out. But not the Liberals. As Tony Abbott says:
I mean obviously Chris, the public have a right to vote for whomsoever they wish, and they have a right - if they wish - to replace a good government with an inept Opposition. I mean, they have that right.

In other words, "we hear your concerns and are amending our activities accordingly in order to represent you better".

Tony has got the message that for several reasons I and unfathomably large numbers of other Australians think they're not a good government, and he here responds to those criticisms with a sophisticated and persuasive argument: bald contradiction.

Oh yeah? We ARE a good government! Whatever you thicky voters think.

Talk about convincing! I do believe he's won my vote back.
