We're all friends here

It can be a little tough being a minor lefty blogspot blogger these days. After all, it doesn't seem to take much to anger the local righties.

And boy, there aint no limits when they get riled up! (Debate his arguments? Are you kidding?)

There's the prominent right-wing blogger and his nasty dribbling commenters constantly trying to link their attacks on me to my work. There's the pathetic guttersnipe now attacking me through my mother. There's the psycho gun nut threatening to shoot my cat. There was the relentless campaign to "out" my real name. Creepy individuals stalk the blogosphere pretending to be me and setting up various attack blogs dedicated to me. And, of course, there was the recent hacking.

It's nice to be loved.

I can understand it all, though: they must be pretty threatened by someone casually writing a few political posts from a progressive standpoint and RUTHLESSLY uploading them to blogspot WHERE THEY COULD PERHAPS MILDLY INFLUENCE LITERALLY DOZENS OF PEOPLE. You can see why they'd be so desperate to bully me into giving up blogging. Given the time and effort that appears to go into it (those photoshopping efforts must have taken MINUTES to create!), they must think that one less lefty blog on blogspot would somehow be a significant victory for them. (FIRST, WE SHUT DOWN LEFTY'S BLOG. THEN - THE WORLD WILL BE OURS!)

Either that, or they're just vicious little pricks who really, viscerally hate anyone who happens to disagree with them, and want to cause them (and their families) pain if at all possible.

It's kind of sad. And, yes, irritating.
