Meet Dean Tabone.
When Dean was paralysed at age 13, his life seemed ruined. What would give it purpose? What would make his life worth living again?
He didn't have to search hard before the obvious answer came to him.

Buying a wheelchair with a specially-designed mouth-operated rifle AND TRAVELLING AROUND THE WORLD BRINGING DEATH TO WILD ANIMALS!

Dean didn't like the way the deer taunted him with its graceful speed and agility. The lithe bastard had to die.
It's an uplifting story of one man's quest to bring his life meaning, by shooting other things dead.
Dean travels the world with a crew of carers, roughing it in the wild (with the necessary people to feed him/load his gun) and going to remote places where few totally paralysed people have gone before, in order to execute creatures he's never previously seen.
It's inspiring stuff.

Dean knew that the Elk were out to Get Him and Everyone He Cared About. Unless he got them first.
Don't get me wrong - I'm thrilled he's been able to triumphantly conquer his limitations and do what he's always wanted to do. I just found the contrast between his talk about getting his life back, and the fact that he had to pointlessly end the lives of other creatures to do it, darkly ironic.
Also, he seemed a bit of a nob.
ps please note: a hunting story and no mention of Dick Cheney whatsoever. Now that is self-control, people.
